Armour, Waldo "Wally" Gordon - 80, Springhill and formerly of Oxford, passed away Thursday, January 12th, 2023 in All Saints Springhill Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Pugwash, he was a son of the late Clayton and Eliza (Agnew) Armour. Wally worked as a carpenter in the area for many years. He was a long time member of the Salvation Army. Wally loved playing guitar and singing at local music jams. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by daughter, Velma Angela (Fred) Chapman, Springhill; sons, Gordon, Oxford; Leslie (Amber), Springhill; grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher; Kyle, Trisden and Jade; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Jaxson, Henry, Lyla, Dean, Leo and Maddyson; only surviving sibling, Ernie (Delena), Oxford. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Colleen (MacLean) Armour; brother, William; sister, Irene Brown. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Monday, January 16, with funeral service at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a Food Bank.
