Holden, Thomas Edward - 75, River Philip, passed away February 28th, 2023. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Edwin and Annabelle (Willigar) Holden. His working years started at Warren MacDonald's Garage in Springhill and later with Letcher's in Springhill in the parts department. He also worked with Springhill Auto Centre, and drove school bus on the "Westchester Run". For many years Tom also owner and operator of his own body shop. Tom really enjoyed the outdoors spending time fishing and hunting. He is survived by his common-law wife, Gloria MacDonald; children, Anna MacLean (Charlie Weeks), River Philip; Terri (Richard) Venus, Waasis, NB; Thomas (Lynn). Pugwash; stepchildren, Nicholas (Kayla) MacDonald, Springhill; Christa (Justin) MacDonald, Springhill; Lacey (Adam) MacDonald, Five Islands; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren. sisters, Darlene (Harley Skidmore), Springhill; Mary (Bert Stonehouse), Sydney; brother, Bernard (Charlene); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Cecil; sister, Bernadette. Visitation will be from 7-9 pm March 3, with funeral service at 2 pm March 4, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium.
