It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Tania Lynn Porter aged 49 of Etobicoke, ON, on February 19th, 2026 at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, ON surrounded by her son Christopher and his father Joseph Iozzo.

Born on June 9, 1976 in Toronto, ON to Sterling "Bud" Porter and Georgina Macdonald.

Tania was a very compassionate and loving soul. She made many special friendships throughout her life, some as far back as Kindergarten that she remained in contact with her whole life. It's not surprising that she chose a career as an EA for special needs children. She was the kind of person who really listened and cared deeply about her family, friends and students. You could always count of her to be there for you no matter what; she put everyone else before herself. She was the epitome of love, laughter and life.

Tania's greatest joy was her son Christopher. They had a bond like no other mother and son. Her happiest moments were spent with Christopher, whether it was going to a movie, out for dinner or just relaxing at home together. He was her first real love. She was always so proud of his achievements and the young man he has become.

Tania spoke quite often on the phone with her parents Bud and Marie and spent almost every summer with them and Christopher down in Nova Scotia where they made so many beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.

Tania is survived by her son, Christopher; his father, Joseph Iozzo; her parents, Sterling "Bud" and Marie Porter; brother, Robert (Karmaine) Porter; sisters, Darlene Porter, Suzanne (James) Thompson; Joann (Corey) Arsenault; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Predeceased by her mother, Georgina Macdonald; and brother, Wayne Porter.

Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July 21 in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
