Ruth Helen Arseneault

July 19, 1936 – July 23, 2026

We announce the passing of Ruth Helen Arseneault, 90, formerly of Tatamagouche, on July 23, 2026 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born the fifth of nine children on July 19, 1936 to Wallace and Levita (Fisher) Blenkhorn in Springhill.

Ruth was a homemaker who took pride in a clean home and a homecooked meal. She spent her days knitting, sewing, gardening and had a passion for genealogy.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Carol (Frank) Tattrie of Bass River; Daniel and Glen both of Tatamagouche, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Besides her children, she is survived by her sisters, Roxella McGill of Alberta and Stella (Carl) Kaulback of Portapique.

Predeceased by her parents, husbands, Kenny Wilson and Walter Arseneault, sister, Mary Halloway, brothers, Dave, Cecil, Walter, Kenny and Edward.

Later in life she met and married Walter and moved out west. Together they spent their time travelling Canada and the USA.

Ruth is resting in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche from where the Celebration of Life service will take place Monday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow in the funeral home. (Casual Dress is encouraged) Interment in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche.
