Langille, Ronald Robert – 78, Fox Harbour, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the North Cumberland Community Health Centre, Pugwash. Born in Amherst and raised in Wallace Bridge he was a son of the late Carl and Teresa (Armour) Langille. Following school Ron started work with the Bank of Nova Scotia and spent the next 27 years working in various positions, retiring as Senior Bank Auditor for Canada. In 1990 he joined the Sunset Community as Director of Finance and later became the Administrator, retiring in 2002. Ron had served as a board member of the CBDC and the United Way. He was a member and past master of Wallace Masonic Lodge 76, Wallace and had served as The District Deputy Grand Master for Cumberland County. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor (Pollard) Langille; son, Stephen Langille, Alberta; grandchildren, Niah, Leah, Casey and their mother, Jordana Ridley, all of Alberta; niece, Debbie (David) Thibodeau, Bible Hill, nephew, Donnie Jamieson, Wallace, and their children; in-laws, Jack Cook, Ross (Debbie) MacKay, Jim Robbins, Jim (Brenda) McKenzie and their families. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Andrew Langille; sister, Jean Jamieson; mother-in-law, Doreen (Jamieson) Pollard; sister's-in-law, Valerie Cook and Dawn Robbins. A celebration of Ron's Life and a Masonic Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Mundle's Funeral Home, 10235 Durham St., Pugwash. Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River. Donations in memory may be made to the Riverside Cemetery.
