Philip M. Judge

Our beloved father, brother and uncle passed away peacefully in his home after a very lengthy battle with MS.

The youngest of 10 children he is survived by his sons Nick and Eddie and his daughter Tara, grandchildren Ashley and Nathan and their partners, his brother Frank (Barb) and sister Shirley and his many nieces and nephews.

Phil spent his early career pursuing his passion for mechanics with a curiosity in finding out what makes things tick and go fast. Then he found his true passion in autobody repairs and was very proud of his ability to reverse the damage done and make a car beautiful again.

When not working for his living he could be found hunting, fishing and camping with his family.

When MS forced him to leave the workforce, instead of giving up and giving in he set about changing his life as his needs changed. He became a self-taught carpenter and made his house and his furniture to suit his new self.

He fearlessly modified anything in order to keep moving forward. He was seen out on the mountain bike trails on his mobility scooter with his friends and also mowing the lawn or snow blowing on his tractors after converting them to operate with hand controls. He approached life bravely and with grace and never lost his kindness and sense of humour.

He was grateful to his family and friends and the many care workers who also became friends for the support which helped him continue to live at home with dignity to the end.

He mattered, was loved and will be missed. 

Cremation has already taken place under the care and direction of Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. No Visitation or Funeral Service by request.
