Paul Edward Murray – 54, Mattatall Lake, passed away suddenly April 23, 2024 at home. Born in Burlington, Ontario, he was a son of Jeanette (McCormick) and the late Murdock Murray.

Paul worked for many years as an NDT Technician with the Pipefitters Union. In earlier years, Paul enjoyed travelling, especially to China and New Zealand, making friends wherever he went. Paul eventually made his home in Tatamagouche, where he enjoyed many activities in the community, especially calling Bingo at the Wentworth Recreation Centre, where he was well known and loved. Paul also enjoyed lending a helping hand to neighbours who needed help doing odd jobs around their properties. He kept in regular touch by way of phone calls to his many friends and neighbours.

Besides his mother, Jeanette, Paul is survived by brother, Neil (Monica) Murray, Waterford, Ont; nephew, Kyle (Emma) Murray, Waterford, Ont., niece, Chelsea Murray, Toronto, Ont; great niece, Lilly; as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by his father, Murdock Murray.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter's Funeral Home, 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 27 from 1-3pm in Wentworth Recreation Centre. Private Burial will be held in Miner's Cemetery, Malagash. Donations in memory of Paul may be made to the Miner's Cemetery.
