Smith, Patricia "Patsy" - 83, passed away on August 9, 2026 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in River Philip, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Lucinda (Roblee) Dykens. Patsy worked for over 30 years at the former Stanfield's plant in Oxford. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Heather's Beach and was fond of going for walks either on the sandbars or around the community. Patsy is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Donnie) Oickle, Margaret (Stephen) Herrett and June (Derrick) O'Donnell; son, Randy (Angela); 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty (Frank) Froebe and June Longshaw; daughters-in-law, Sharon and Linda; special friend, John Hachey. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick "Junior"; sons, Joe and Timmy; brother, Glenn; sisters, Betty Dickie and Joann Quinn. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13 from 1-3 pm in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium, followed immediately by a graveside service at 3 pm in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in Patsy's memory may be made to the Mount Pleasant Cemetery or charity of your choice.
