Reedy, Nola Francis (Allen) – passed away peacefully with her daughter Carolynn and son David by her side at East Cumberland Lodge on October 3, 2024, at the age of 92. She went joyfully to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Nola was the daughter of George and Leone (LeBlanc) Allen. She grew up in Pugwash and Wallace. Early in her married life she lived in France, Quebec and New Brunswick, with her husband and children. For many years she worked as the bookkeeper in her father's lobster business in Wallace. At age 35 she returned to college and later worked at Sunset Residential Center in Pugwash. She retired from Sunset as Director of Dietetics. She remained active in retirement volunteering at the Pregnancy Care Center in Amherst, the Pugwash Hospital Auxiliary and the local food bank. She was an active member of Fundamental Bible Church, involved in several groups and church activities well into her eighties. Nola will forever be remembered as a spirited Godly and fiercely independent lady who remained in her own home until she was nearly ninety. She was an active reader and loved animals, especially dogs and Snowball her cat. Nola is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Larry) Deneault, Maxville, Ont.; son, John (Jackie) Reedy, Barriere, BC., and son, David Reedy (Pam), Wallace; sister-in-law, Sylvia Allen; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and only sibling, Ronald Allen. The family are very thankful for the loving care Nola received by the staff at East Cumberland Lodge. Family flowers only.
