Chute, Nathan David  - 28, Springhill, passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, July 5th, 2026 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Moncton, he was a son of David Chute and Stephanie Casey. One of Nate's greatest loves was basketball. He loved the game, the competition, and the camaraderie it brought. It wasn't just a sport to him - it was something that reflected his energy, passion, and determination. He is survived by his common-law spouse, Sophie LeBlanc; daughter, Paisley Rae MacKenzie Chute; sister, Tara d'Entremont (Marshall MacDonald); brothers, Daniel, Taylor "TJ" (Niki), MacKenzie; nieces and nephews, Laken, Frankie, Sara, Oaklynn, Sage, Myah, Hudson and Sean; aunts and uncles, Heather Boss (Paul Patriquin), Chris Chute, Steve Chute, Claudia Newman, Sheila Rae (Mick) McBurnie, Bronwyn Casey, Edgar Casey and John Casey. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Donna and Ed Chute and Basil and Bette Casey; uncle, Ervin Casey. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium.  Celebration of life visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Monday, July 13 at the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre, in the CIBC Common Room.
