Michael Stephen Roy - 57, Upper Malagash, passed away at home on May 1, 2026. Born in Truro, he was the son of Wayne and Carol (MacBurnie) Roy.

Mike was an incredible mechanic, known for his ability to fix or build just about anything. There was truly nothing he couldn't do. He had a deep love for his dogs, treating them as if they were his children. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially a heartfelt Hallmark Christmas movie.

Above all, Mike cherished the time he spent with his beloved wife, Michelle. Their love was undeniable—deep, unwavering, and the kind that made you believe in fairytales.

Mike was a devoted family man who embraced life with passion and gratitude, treasuring every moment spent with those he loved.

Along with his parents he leaves behind his wife, Michelle; his children, Jessica, Brett (Yvonne), and Danielle (Jeremy), all of whom he was incredibly proud. His grandchildren, Zavier, Scarlet, Jade, Angelina and Olivia. His sisters, Cathy (Sean) Allison and Susan (Eric) Bouffard; his brother, Christopher (Shannon); his mother and father-in-law, Sharon and Ken MacLean ; sister-in-law Camilla (Art) Oldreive; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Beth, Cole, Megan and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his best friend and brother-in-law, Craig Scott; His maternal grandparents, George and Barbara (Poole) MacBurnie; paternal grandparents, Churchill and Essie (Matthews) Roy.

From his living room window, there is a view of the ocean—a view that will forever remind us of the waves he loved and the ones he will continue to make in our hearts.

Cremation has taken place. At Mike's request, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
