Melvin Eldred Stevens – 90, Pugwash Junction passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born November 9, 1935, at Pugwash River, he was a son of the late Murray and Viola (Carter) Stevens. Melvin worked at many jobs including 29 years at Windsor Salt, Pugwash. He then retired and began a hobby of buying and selling antiques and firearms, this he enjoyed greatly. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his children, Stephen (Peggy) Stevens, Pugwash, Craig (Wanda) Stevens, Pugwash Junction, Bonnie Stevens (Phillip), Pugwash Junction; grandchildren, Brandon Trenholm, Ethan Prall, Dawson Prall, Brianna Prall, Amanda Bucholtz, Joey Stevens, Emma Stevens, Olivia Stevens and many great grandchildren, whom he was very proud of; brother, Emmerson Stevens and sister, Vivian Whitman. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Hilda Stevens, son, Bruce Stevens, grandson, Donald Langille, along with many brothers and sisters. Anyone who knew Melvin knew he was a hard negotiator when it came to his sales, but loved company and was willing to help anyone in need. In keeping with Melvin's wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
