With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Marjorie VanBuskirk. Mom was born in Springhill, NS, on Feb. 5, 1953, to Raymond Perry and the late Beverly (Olsen) Perry. Above all things she was our mom and a mom to all our friends "Momma Marj". Our mom was so giving to all we never went home empty handed, always a hug, a kiss and an I love you. Mom's greatest gifts were her grandchildren Kendall (Brandon), Cayley (A.J.), Kenzie (Cam) and Zach (Ella). Nanny Marg loved their visits and special times spent together. As her grandchildren grew her second greatest gifts arrived, her great grandchildren, Reed, Rory, Rhett, Charlie and was beyond exited to meet baby girl Carter, arriving in July. Mom could be found gardening in her yard or having a conversation with every passerby. Come August she could be found fishing on the wharf with her girls earning the name "Mackerel Marj". Mom enjoyed her walking club friends along with her special friend Brenda Reid. Mom is reunited with her husband Charles VanBuskirk and her beloved mother Beverly, whom she missed always. Mom loved her weekly visits with her "daddy", every Wednesday. Mom will be forever missed her father Raymond Perry; daughters, Angie (Phil), Carrie (Dale) and Niki (John); siblings, Bev (Bob) Gogan, Bill Perry, Raymond Perry, Rachel (Ken) Brown, Donna (Tim) Fwlawka; sister-in-law, Coleen (Lewis) Dearman. Mom was predeceased by her husband Chuck VanBuskirk; beloved mother Beverly Perry; sister's-in-law, Nancy Perry and Louise Perry. A celebration of life will be held on June 20, 2026, from 1-3 pm at the Pugwash Peace Hall. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, a cause close to her heart.
