It is with heavy hearts and cherished love we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Ann (Patriquin) Hansen, of Wallace Bay, at the North Cumberland Health Care Centre, Pugwash, on January 16, 2025. She was born September 9, 1949, to the late Vernon & Marguerite (Wilkie) Patriquin. With the kindest heart & loving soul, Margaret touched (or stamped) the lives of all she knew. Graduating from the Nova Scotia Teacher's College, she began a devoted teaching career at Cyrus Eaton Elementary School where she was a nurturing inspiration to her students; forming bonds that remained long after the school day, the weeks and throughout the years; through basketball, 4H, Sunday School and numerous crafts, cards and community activities. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Robert (in infancy), Lester and Warren, father & mother-in-law, Charlie and Evelyn. Margaret is survived her loving husband of 53 years, Wayne; sister's-in-law, Beverly & Marilyn; nephew, Dwight and nieces, Cheryl and Kaitlyn. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by many family, friends and the entire community for being caring and selfless, with a loving nature and as one who was always available to help. There will be no services held at this time. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
