Lawrence, Mandy Gail – 51, Pugwash, passed away suddenly at home on December 25, 2023. Born in Seven Islands, Quebec, she was a daughter of Lester Russell, Amherst and the late Miriam "Lucy" (Canning) Russell. Besides her father, Lester Russell (Betty Burns), she is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lawrence; sons, Ryan Lawrence (Bella) and Devon Lawrence (Michaella), all of Pugwash; brother, Shawn (Kimberly) Russell, Springhill; nephews, Joshua Russell, Amherst, Randy Russell, Saint John; father and mother-in-law, Gordon A. and H. Jane (Anderson) Lawrence, Gander, Newfoundland; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, extended family; chosen sons and daughters and her precious fur babies, Trixie and Gizmo "fat cat". She will be forever remembered for her smile & contagious laughter. She was always the one who would put her family before herself. If you needed anything, if she could, she would. If someone was having a hard time she would sit and listen, not judging and stubborn to a fault. She loved to play crib; listen to music from country to rock; loved to listen to someone playing a guitar and loved to cook for everyone. You would never leave with an empty belly. Mandy had most recently been employed at the Nova Scotia Liquor Store, Pugwash. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash. Private burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be given to the family or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
