In Loving Memory of Linda

Linda Jean Meade
October 21, 1951 – June 5, 2025

It is with broken hearts, deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Linda — a beloved mother, proud grandmother, devoted wife, cherished sister, and treasured friend.

Linda was a woman of deep faith and unwavering strength. Through every challenge life brought her way, she met it with grace, resilience, and an unshakable belief that "it could always be worse." She never complained and faced her health battles with courage and determination. Right to the very end, Linda was a fighter — strong, dignified, and full of heart.

Linda loved life and all those around her. Linda's happiest moments were those spent with her husband Gary, simply enjoying each other's company. She found joy and fulfillment in time spent with her family, and nothing brought her more pride than her role as a grandmother.

Her church family held a special place in her heart. Linda was a true glass-half-full kind of woman who always found reasons to be grateful.

Above all, Linda was a hard-working woman who lived a life of love, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who have the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Linda leaves behind her devoted husband Gary; son Dale Meade (Carrie Brown) of Pugwash Junction; daughter Kelly Trenholm (Vance) of Wallace Bridge; and her beloved grandchildren Jacy Trenholm (Adam Frederick) of North Wallace, Cayley Meade (AJ Laird) of Pugwash Junction, Jared Trenholm (Modena McClelland) of Truro, and Jessica Trenholm, Wallace Bridge, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.

She is survived by her siblings Gerald MacIntosh (Bonnie) Wallace Station, Heather Lynds (Ronnie) of Wentworth, Dianne Cook (Roger) of Richmond, George MacIntosh (Agnese) of Richmond, Frankie McKay (Barry) of Tatamagouche, brother's-in-law Lawerence Meade (Lena) of Fredericton, Tim Boyd of Wallace and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her parents Merle and Jean MacIntosh; brother Charles Gordon MacIntosh, sisters Joyce Borgal, Jackie Boyd, brother-in-law, Jamie Borgal and niece Tracy Borgal.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Dan MacDonald, the nursing team at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Martha Ferguson, and the Palliative Care team. Linda thought the world of Dr. Dan MacDonald and often said she felt truly blessed by the care she received. The family also wants to thank everyone who visited, brought food, sent cards, phone calls, and all the support they have received.

There are no words to express how much we will miss Linda. Her faith, love, courage and unwavering strength will forever remain in our hearts.

Donations can be made to the Wesleyan Church in Westchester, NS or to the Riverside Cemetery.

There will be a grave side service, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 2 pm at the Riverside Cemetery in Wallace River.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
