Allan, Linda, age 67 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in Dartmouth General Hospital January 14, 2024.  Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Silver and late Edith Allan (Ives).  She was employed by Maritime Life/Manulife Insurance for 42 years before her retirement in 2021. She was very much a quiet homebody unless something disparaging was said about one of her passions, like the San Fransisco 49er's.  Woe be to the one who woke the beast.  Linda loved all animals especially cats.  Big cats, small cats, all cats.  She was absolutely terrified of spiders but had lately employed a catch and release depending on the size, which changed daily. She was a master of Trivial Pursuit but was unable to decide on a parking spot if more than one was available. And she would always read the end of a book first.  She did not like surprises. Some of her happiest moments were when she decided to take horseback riding lessons.  Linda was most proud and thankful when she was able to take Mom and Dad on vacation to Europe. Linda was predeceased by her parents and is survived by sisters Charlotte, Ottawa; Heather, Dartmouth; and loving aunts, uncle and cousins.  She will be missed by her "little man", Quigley. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Bakowsky, Dr. Nag, the doctors and nurses at the Dartmouth General Hospital Emergency Department, Dr. Preston and the nurses on 4 West.  Linda was always treated with patience, kindness and respect. There will be no service as per Linda's request.  Cremation has taken place under the care of Mundle's Funeral Home in Pugwash, NS.  Many thanks to Donnie Jamieson for his assistance and support through this difficult time.
