Patterson , Lawrence S. - 92 , of Pugwash, NS, passed peacefully with his wife and family by his side at East Cumberland Lodge , Pugwash , on Sunday , May 01 , 202 2 , and is now in the presence of his Lord and Saviour . Lawrence was the son of the late Harold and Caroline (Batstone) Patterson of Linden, Nova Scotia. B orn in Linden on August, 11 th , 1929 at the Patterson family farm where he spent his formative years.  He lived in Oxford Nova Scotia for 9 years with his Great Aunt Marlin Elderkin (Patterson) before marrying Wilma Ramsay of North River , PE. He subsequently moved from Oxford to Pugwash, Nova Scotia with his young family and opened a hardware store which he ran in the community for over 30 years.  Lawrence accepted the Lord Jesus as h is Saviour and was in fellowship with the Christians at the Port Howe Gospel Hall and the Pugwash Junction Gospel Hall. He was well known for his incredible memory and capacity to quote long poetic verses and scriptures. Many sought his counsel and guidance and he cared deeply for his family and many dear friends and acquaintances. Lawrence is survived by his wife Wilma; his daughters, Carol MacDonald ( Bill ) of Mississauga, O N , and Ruth Tuttle ( Ian ) of Middleboro , NS ; sons, Stephen Patterson of Halifax, and Mark ( Joanne ) Patterson, of Warkworth, O N ; grandchildren, Timothy (Katherine) Tuttle , Stephanie Tuttle , Hannah Tuttle , Nicole MacDonald ; sister Marjorie (Roy) Harvey , and sister-in-law Shirley Patterson, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Hiel , Cecil, Doug, Ernest and infant brother Gerald. Visiting hours Saturday, May 7 th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Mundle's Funeral Home 204 Water Street Pugwash. A private family memorial service and interment will be held at a later date. Family Flowers only.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the East Cumberland Lodge or a mission or charity of choice.
