Lorna Diane (Holt) Mackenzie

1950 – 2025

On January 31, 2025, Lorna Diane (Holt) Mackenzie passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74. Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert "Bobby" Mackenzie; her daughter, Ronda (Ernie) Mackenzie; her son, Devon (Christa) Mackenzie; and her cherished grandchildren, Kristin Holwell, Ethan Mackenzie, Avery Mackenzie, and Ryan Holwell. Diane is also survived by her sister, Betty Langille; her brothers, Eric (Virginia) Holt and Donald Holt; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Jean Holt, Gordon (Ruby) Mackenzie, and Elizabeth (Eben) Bezanson. She was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Russell Holt; mother and father-in-law William Fowler and Rita Mackenzie; her sister, Wanda Innis; her brothers, Stanley Holt, Jamie Holt, Jack Holt, Scotty Holt, and her brother-in-law, Jackie Mackenzie.

Diane found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, fishing, picking berries, watching her favourite soap operas, and taking nature walks with Bobby. But above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing laughter, and making sure no one ever left her home with an empty stomach. She was an incredible cook and baker, always welcoming visitors with a warm meal and a treat from her kitchen.

Diane's generosity, love, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
