Spencer, Kevin Austin – 68, Pugwash River, passed away June 22, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved one's following a brief illness. Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of the late Wilfred Yorke and Minnie Morrell. Kevin had worked at the Pugwash Salt mine for a few years but spent most of his life working as a drywaller and journeyman carpenter.

He enjoyed tormenting his grandkids and loved a good joke, mowing the lawn, gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, canning and preserving his home grown vegetables. Kevin also enjoyed listening to George Jones and was proud that he was a personal friend of Nancy Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine; sons, Aaron Spencer, Pugwash, Adam (Jena) Spencer, Barrington Passage; daughter, Candice Spencer, Amherst; 3 stepchildren; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; sisters, Belinda Hammond, Welland, ON, Donna (Roy) Richards, Lunenburg, Lorinda (Danny) Chin, Hamilton, ON.; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Spencer in infancy and a son, Dwayne White.

There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash
