River John

Obituary

Langille, Keith Belden – River John:  On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, Keith Belden Langille of River John, Nova Scotia, passed away at the age of 67 years. He will be forever remembered by Elaine, his wife of 34 years, and their daughters, Kaylee (Tiffany) and Cassie (Jake).  Keith was preceded in death by both his father, Donald, and stepfather, Webster, as well as sisters Joanne, Elaine, and nephew, David. His memory will be cherished by his mother, Bertha, and by his brothers and sisters, Donald, Floyd, Duane, Kathy, Norma and June. Keith will also be fondly remembered by his favourite aunt and uncle, Glenda and Jim, as well as a broad family tree of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends who were nothing short of family to Keith.  To those who knew him, Keith was renowned for his booming laugh, quick wit, generous spirit, and terrible singing. He loved animals and books, held family above all else, and had notoriously terrible taste in movies and television. Keith was a talented and passionate carpenter – one of the lucky few to find a career that he truly loved. His proudest accomplishment, after raising two successful, independent daughters, was obtaining his Red Seal at the age of 61. Keith often told his children to "keep their chin up and their nose down" - and that is exactly how he lived his life, balancing pride and kindness.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date when we can share in Keith's memory together, without risks or restrictions. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Willow Lodge Palliative Care Room Fund or a charity of your choosing on his behalf.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter's Funeral Home (902-657-3288).  Online condolences can be sent to the family by visiting the funeral home website at: www.mmcfunerals.com

How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.
