Kathy Jane Paulin, 62, of Amherst, left us on November 16th, 2023. Known as "Mama Bird" for her infectious laugh, she soared through life with a humour that could brighten anyone's day. Whether foraging in nature, and ocean, picking blueberries, or crafting with unmatched creativity, Kathy embraced life with zest. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Alexandra (Bulmer) Leggett. She is survived by son, Jamie Paulin, Halifax; daughters, Katherine Paulin and Lindsay Paulin, both of Malagash; grandchildren, Mikaila Paulin, Aliyah Osmond, Jayla Henderson, Ezra Paulin and Mikah Webb; brothers, Robert (Tina) Leggett, Amherst; John Leggett, Port Elgin. She was predeceased by partner, Stephen McCormick. In her quirky symphony of voices and accents, Kathy orchestrated joy. Her love for upcycling was matched only by her commitment to unique, often comical, dance floor performances. As we bid farewell to this one-of-a-kind woman, let's remember Kathy Jane Paulin for the laughter, the dance, and the vibrant tapestry of life she wove. Cheers to a life well-lived, Mama Bird.
