Allen, Joshua Ronald – 79, Middleboro, passed away May 3, 2024, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Springhill he was a son of the late Bertrum Allen and Hazel Allen-McKay. Ron had, worked at Dominion Glass, the Life Savor Factory, as an Iron Worker and the Pugwash Salt Mine but was mostly known for his work as a carpenter and drywaller. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, golfing, hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending quality time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Richards) Allen; sons, Ronald (Angela), Malagash, Lonnie (Tammy), Wallace, Avery (Katelyn); Amherst Head; grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Jasmine, Arwen, Madison, Hayden and Kaleb, Cole; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Cohen, Aiden, Able, Aryon, Harlan, Georgia, Kyren, Brooks and Hadley; brother, Robert, London, ON.; many nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Joanne Patriquin. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Hector, Harold "Jigs" and Reg; sisters, Helen Allen and Thelma Lockhart. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or any local foodbank.
