Joseph James "Joey" Borden – 66, Tatamagouche, passed away suddenly at home on May 7, 2023.

Born in Halifax on September 3, 1956, he was the son of the late Jim and Rose (Brown) Borden.

He has many occupations over the years, including construction, chainsaw operator to being the yard manager at the Home Hardware in Fort McMurray, where he worked until his retirement. Since retiring, he had been a devoted caregiver to his sister, Dale and brother in law, Ronnie.

Joey is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carolann; sisters, Dale (Ronnie) Nicholson, Tatamagouche, Shelly (Steve Fitzgerald), Mosherville, Hants Co., Paula (David) Gaetz, Cole Harbourl brother, Jimmy (Linda) Borden, Cheverie. He also leaves behind daughter, Patricia; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Private visitation will be held in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. A Celebration of his Life for family will take place at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
