It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John "Sandy" Alexander Craig, 82 years old of Oxford, Nova Scotia. Sandy was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marion (Walker) Pyke. Sandy lived an eventful life over the years, he was raised in Glace Bay and went on to living in Toronto and eventually spending the last year of his life in Oxford to be close to his brother Brian Pyke. Sandy was survived by sisters, Nancy (Roy) Borden; Debbie Morrison; brothers, Brian (Cindy) Pyke; JoJo Pyke; Gary Pyke; He was predeceased by sister, Betty Deering and brother, Keith Pyke. After moving to Oxford Sandy became very found of his great niece and nephew, Deedra Greene and Brayden Greene, who would lend a helping hand to Sandy when needed. They both enjoyed spending time with him. He also became close with his "Special" niece, Elizabeth Rushton, who took on the role as his caregiver and whom he loved dearly. Sandy was happy to meet his great-great-niece, Hazel Murphy, who became the light of his life. Following Sandy's wishes cremation has taken place in the care of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford, NS.
