John
Mcnutt
Sep 5, 1947 — Jun 7, 2022
River John
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Barnes McNutt. He passed away in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital on June 7, 2022, with his girls at his side.
John McNutt was born to Lemuel and Dorothy (Pottle) McNutt in Springhill, on September 5, 1947. He married the love of his life, Connie in 1966. They were married for 55 years. He was a loving husband, dedicated father, and fun-spirited grandfather. John loved to be outdoors, fishing, hunting, and driving his motorcycle. John and Connie had many great trips with friends. He could often be found at the hockey rink, coaching his sons early in life and in the later years cheering on his grandson. He enjoyed watching any sports or events his grandchildren were involved in. John enjoyed being self-employed, building apartments and running his business, John McNutt's Foundations.
John is survived by his wife, Connie and their children, Sherri-Lynn McNutt ( Gary Gammon ), Shelly McNutt (Peter Marriot), Daniel McNutt (Terri Lynn), and Andy McNutt; grandchildren Jack, Kimberly, Owen, and Izzy; brothers Charlie McNutt (Donna) and Gordon McNutt (Liaiia); and nieces and nephews; and special companion, Ollie. He was predeceased by siblings, Donald McNutt and Elizabeth Essington (Mel).
John's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. He was a gentle, loving family man. He was the salt of the earth!
