Vincent, Jean Isabel – 84 of Fountain Road passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Willow Lodge. Jean lived a life filled with love, kindness, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and beloved cat, Harley.
Family was the most important part of Jean's life. She cherished every moment spent with her children, granddaughter, great-grandson and loved ones, always putting family first. Her home was a place of warmth and comfort. Harley, her faithful cat brought her much happiness and comfort over the years.
Jean spent most of her working life house cleaning and cooking for many wonderful people. She took great pride in her work and continued doing what she loved until the age of 75. She was also known for her homemade bread that she made every Saturday for many years.
In her free time, Jean loved visiting thrift stores in search of hidden treasures and bargains. She also treasured time spent at her cottage, Fox Harbour where she grew up on the farm. You would find her puttering (often with a hammer or paintbrush in her hand) and making memories with family and friends. She had a love for dancing and music and rarely missed a Saturday night dance or music jam. One of her greatest joys later was hosting her annual Bluegrass and Country Beach Jamboree, which brought people together year after year from 2006 to 2016. These gatherings were filled with music, laughter, friendship and unforgettable moments.
She is survived by son, Bradley Vincent, Fountain Road; daughter, Cathy Vincent, Pugwash; granddaughter, Meghan Vincent; and great-grandson, Owen Vincent Chute, Amherst, many nieces and nephews. Also chosen daughters, Linda Graham and Bonnie MacIntosh who gave her beloved cat Harley another loving home. Her legacy of love, compassion, strength, hard work, and devotion to family and friends will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Besides her parents James and Nettie Craib she was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Vincent; brothers, Doug Craib and Alex Craib; sister, Betty Briggs; and her dear friend, Ralph Anderson.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Willow Lodge for their compassionate care, kindness and support. We would also like to extend special thanks to Dr. Blaikie for the exceptional care and dedication he provided to Jean over many years and to Dr. MacDonald for his kindness and support. A special mention is also given to Willow Lodge's resident cat, Willow, who became Jean's best friend from day one there.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held Sunday June 28, 2026, at Mundle's Funeral Home, 10235 Durham St., Pugwash with visitation from 1 pm until the service at 2 pm. Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Riverside Cemetery.
Forever loved, always remembered and deeply missed.
