Chase, Jean Isabelle – 99, Amherst, formerly of Pugwash.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother. Jean passed away October 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving family and in the kindness and care of the staff at All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born on Canada Day, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Babcock) Estrabrooks. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Chase, son, Sherman Chase, an infant daughter, brothers, Roy, Frank and Nelson, sisters, Annie, Margaret and Bernice. Jean married Doug in 1942 and moved to Pugwash where she lived for 81 years. She loved her family and her cat Barney. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Brian Chase, Douglas Chase; daughter, Linda (Ernie) Stewart; grandchildren, Pamela Chase, Jeffrey Chase, Kevin Chase; great granddaughter, Alexandra Mobus.
