Mont, James William - 93, Amherst, passed away September 18th, 2021 in Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Richard and Laura (Spence) Mont. He was a retired Captain from the Moncton Fire Department. He enjoyed entertaining at nursing homes, variety shows, funerals and churches. He was a member of the Calvary United Church, Port Howe, where he sang in the choir. He was a member of the Seniors Clubs in Oxford and Springhill. He is survived by son, Neil (Olive), Campbellville, ON; daughters, Roxanne Wood, Arichat; Virginia (Bob) Legace, Wanless, Man.; Paula (Marc) Bourque, Moncton, NB; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Madeline Lutes; sisters, Elsie Cox, Grace Thompson, Alberta White, Doris Briggs; brothers, Perce, James Dixon.
