Greta "Creta" (Winters) Denine - 76, Springhill. Mom passed away in the Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind to mourn her loving husband, Joseph "Joe"; her baby girl, Tracy Hicks (Allan); her world, aka granddaughters, Natasha Garnhum (Matthew) and Samantha Denine (John); her heart, aka great-grandchildren, Adilynn "Addy", Hayden, Brooklynne and Ryken; step-granddaughter, Julia Jackson and her daughter, Hannah. Mom was born in the middle of several children. She also leaves behind to mourn sisters, Ronia Gabriel (Richard); Rebecca Mitchell (Debbie); Hope Keddy (Art); Lurenda Arenburg (David); brothers, Ralph (Doris); Art (Donna); numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret; father, Ralph; sister, Lois and brother, Dwitten. In Mom's earlier years, she was the life of the party and could tear up a dance floor, but as she grew older her favourite pastimes were spoiling her grandchildren and time spent with family. Mom was very proud of her family and her passing leaves a big void in their lives. Mom told me if her love for her family could keep her alive she'd live forever. A celebration of Mom's life will be held 1-3 pm, Saturday, June 21 in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford. Those wishing to make a donation in Mom's memory may do so to the Heart & Stroke Foundation , Kidney Foundation or to any SPCA . The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to doctors Jenny Parker and MacPherson and their teams at the Valley Regional Hospital for not only the care Mom received but Dad as well.
