Tuttle, Grace Evering - 84, Pugwash; it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother and nanny, Grace Evering (Moore) Tuttle. Mom passed away on Friday, March 3 rd in the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Grace was born in Middleboro and lived much of her life there where she and Byron raised their family. Grace worked as a telephone operator in Wallace until they went to "dial", and then worked in housekeeping at the North Cumberland Memorial until her retirement. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, crypto quotes & lexicon, phone chats with family and friends, a game of scrabble or skipbo, or an outing to bingo. Nanny always had a welcoming home, possibly a cake in the oven, and a compassionate heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom is survived by daughters, Geneva Tuttle (Francis Gallant), of Cornwall, PE, Norma Craib, Fall River; sons, Allan (Marlene) and Byron (Janet), all of Middleboro; son-in-law, Arthur Briggs, Thompson, Manitoba. Nanny will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Lindsey (Chris) Pike, Ryan (Chad) Briggs, Tamara (Andy) Jamieson, Christopher Briggs, Shelby (Brodie) Trenholm, Brandon and Brianna Craib, Alex, Kayla and Brooke-Lynne Tuttle; great grandchildren, Declan, Emmett, Judson, Finley, Gabby and Nora; her siblings, Bill (Yvonne) Moore, Elizabeth (John) McLean, Faye Moore, Jack (Lorraine) Moore, Esther Moore, Kathleen (Orville) Blades; sister-in-law, Doreen Tuttle; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Alex and Merle (Betts) Moore, she was predeceased by her husband Allan Byron Tuttle, daughter, Patricia Tuttle-Briggs, son-in-law, David Craib; in-laws, Bain and Nina Tuttle; brother-in-law, Melbourne Tuttle. Donations in memory of Mom may be made to the MS Society. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 7, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash. A celebration of her life will take place at Wesley St. Matthews United Church on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 2 p.m.
