Chu, Gloria Jean – 81, Gulf Shore, passed away June 24, 2022, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Thelma (Allen) Lockhart. Gloria had worked at the Toronto Dominion Bank in Calgary before she and Paul retired to the Gulf Shore in 2013. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Peace Branch 60, both of Pugwash. Gloria is survived by her husband, Paul, daughter, Joanne Adams and son, James Dennis Read, both of Hamilton, Ont., grandchildren, Daniel Adams, Lori Adams (Chris Gringras), Joshua MacKenzie, Jessica MacKenzie, Selena Read; great grandchildren, London Lupton, Camryn Adams, Darren Adams and Ethan Adams; brother, Reginald (Sophia) Briggs, Hamilton; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, with a reception to follow.
