McQueen, Franklin Walker "Frank" – 80, Pugwash, passed away on October 29, 2023, at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Brampton, Ontario, he was a son of the late John Kemp McQueen and Margaret Ann (MacDonald) McQueen who immigrated from Aberdeen, Scotland. Frank was an excellent wood craftsman and many family members have a cedar chest that he made. He was very musical, playing the piano and attended many kitchen parties & camp fires, He and Etta belonged to the Pugwash Legion as well as when living in Brampton he belonged to the Kiwanis Club. He was a custodian for schools in Brampton and was loved by all the students. Frank met his sweetheart Etta (Wilson) Montrose while she was visiting her daughter in Ontario with whom Frank was a friend. Their love was so strong he followed her back to Nova Scotia and married in 2000 and shared a wonderful life for the next 12 years. They loved to go to auctions and took part in many community activities such as meals on wheels, playing Mr. and Mrs. Claus and any other function they were asked to help out with. After the death of Etta, he met another lovely lady, Muriel Latta with whom he shared his life until her death in 2020. Muriel became the new Mrs. Claus as they entertained the village at Christmas. Frank will always be remembered for his boisterous laugh and his friendly personality. He leaves behind two nephews in Ontario, Don and Neil McQueen and their families; seven step children, Tom (Chris) Montrose, Antigonish, Harvie (Darlene) Montrose, Westchester, Bonnie (Basil) Osborne, Brampton, ON, Steven (Mildred) Montrose, Seal Cove, NL, Eddie (Tamara) Montrose, Norris Arm, NF,  Bruce (Marlene) Montrose, Doaktown, N.B., Doug (Ashley) Montrose, Moncton, N.B.; step sons in law, Charles Moore, Pearse Osborne and Bill Priebe; numerous grand babies, great grandbabies, nieces and nephews.
