Live Stream of Evelyn's Service

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, nanny and sister, Evelyn Muriel (McLean) Tattrie, born August 2, 1943 and passed away January 25, 2025 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Evelyn was born to the late Lena and Donald McLean in Richmond Hill, Ontario. At the age of 16, she met the love of her life, Aubrey Tattrie while in Ontario. He brought her to Tatamagouche where they were married in 1960. From there, started their family of eight children. Evelyn was a devoted mother to her children and mothered many others over the years. All who walked through her door were loved and always had a place at her table and in her heart.

Mom leaves behind her loving husband, Aubrey; children, Darlene (Peter Duggan), Dawn (Brian MacPherson), Denise (Mark Gallant), Dwayne (Tyler Newbury), Kathy, (Ronnie Ives), Derek (Rebecca Reid). She was predeceased by her sons, Dale and Dion "Mickey."  Nanny Evelyn has leaves behind her grandchildren, Richard, Ryan, Darren, Tara, Gail, Dominque, Jolene, Joey, Sara, Chad, Brenda, Amanda, Amber, Melissa, Samantha, Holly, Tay, Owain, Savanna and Melanie; several great grandchildren as well as a predeceased great grandson, Sheldon. Evelyn leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her beloved beautiful dog, Maggie and Buddy. Evelyn is survived by her siblings Donna (Gary Schantz), Bruce (Sherry James); in-laws, Lorraine Marilyn, Doreen, Leo and Darlene, Pauline and Frank, Hector, Bobby and Elizabeth, Marilyn; Predeceased by Boyd, Truman and Sadie as well her mother and father-in-law, Otis and Viva Tattrie.

Evelyn was a past Noble Grand for the Rebekah's Assembly Local 62. They will officiate a ceremony and reception in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche on Thursday, January 30 at 2pm. A time of visitation will take place from 1-2pm prior to the ceremony. In accordance with Evelyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Rebekah's/Oddfellows, (245 Main St., Tatamagouche, B0K 1V0) or the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, (110 Blair Ave., Tatamagouche, B0K 1V0.)
