Eva Joan
Green
Oct 8, 1955 — Oct 28, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share that Eva Joan Green passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 at the age of 70, after a life filled with love, laughter, and faith.
Eva was born on October 8, 1955, in Montreal, Quebec, to Alfred and Hannah Fallnbigl. Her father, a structural engineer, worked on the Athabasca Oil Sands, while her mother lovingly cared for the home and family. Eva grew up in the house her father designed and built, where she spent her childhood swimming, biking, and spending time with friends.
After attending vocational school for cosmetology, Eva began what would become a 40-year career as a hairdresser, bringing confidence and kindness to everyone who sat in her chair. When her parents later moved to New Brunswick to start a hobby farm, Eva followed to lend a hand—continuing her hairstyling career while supporting her family. She eventually met Delbert Green, and together they made their home in Nova Scotia, following opportunities in the forestry industry. They soon welcomed their beloved daughter, Desiree, and built a life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion to her spiritual beliefs. Alongside hairdressing, Eva also drove a school bus for many years—another way she showed care and reliability to those around her.
In later years, Eva found joy in working alongside her daughter, creating beautiful handcrafted pieces that were admired and enjoyed by many. Her gentle humor, generosity, and warm spirit touched countless lives. Eva's strong faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses gave her peace and confidence in God's promise of a future resurrection—a time when she will awaken once again to a world free of pain and sorrow.
Eva is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Delbert Green, her cherished daughter Desiree Malagese (née Green), son in law Christopher and her adored grandchildren Mercedes and Nico. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Hannah Fallnbigl.
