Wood, Esther Elizabeth - 72, Springhill, passed away April 4, 2026 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Pugwash, she was a daughter of the late William and Elsie (Hollis) Cameron. Esther loved to sew, knit and crochet. She had a great interest in history and geography, especially if it involved a lighthouse. She had many pen pals all over the world. She is survived by her husband, Dale; sisters, Norma Jean McGuire, Pictou; Marlene (Tom) McManaman, Alberta; brothers, Fred (Audrey Purdy) and Angus (Marilyn), both of Port Howe; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Mark; sister in infancy, Mabel. The family would like to thank Ann Wood for everything that she has done to help Esther. An internment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium.
