Langille, Elmon Arthur – 95, Central New Annan, Colchester County.  It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dad, Elmon Arthur Langille, who passed away peacefully in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on January 18, 2022.  Born in New Annan, he was the son of the late Harry and Jean (Murray) Langille.  He was married for 56 years to the love of his life, the late Florence (MacQuarrie) Langille.  Elmon was a building contractor and successfully operated a construction business in Dartmouth for 37 years.  Upon retirement he returned to Central New Annan where he continued to work in the woods on his own property well into his 80's, and was able to mow his many acres of lawn last summer at the age of 95.  His passion was in Belgian draft horses which included breeding, raising, showing and working them and still kept horses well into his late 80's.  He had many friends in the horse community.  Elmon was a loving husband and father, horseman, story teller, good sport, lover of life, and known for his honesty.  Elmon was a member of Woodlawn United Church in Dartmouth.  After moving to Central New Annan, he joined the Salem United Church in Tatamagouche Mountain and following the closing of the Church, continued to hold services in his own home followed by the much enjoyed social.  Surviving are his children, Darrell, Jeannie Corkum, Karen, and Ken (Yuyi); sisters, Carrie Matheson and Reta Keizer; grandchildren, Krista (Randy), Martin (Katie), Erica (Joe) and Jessica (Tim); great grandchildren, Spencer, Lily, Gracie, Violet, Layla, and Aiden; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Margaret Roode; brother-in-law, Edwin (Carol) MacQuarrie.  He was predeceased by his wife, Florence (MacQuarrie) Langille; Karen's partner, Greg Turner; sisters, Marie and husband, Jim MacKay, Thelma and husband, Willis Benjamin; brothers-in-law, Murray Matheson, Vernon Keizer, Isaac MacQuarrie, Carl MacQuarrie, and George MacQuarrie; sister-in-law, Shirley MacKay; special cousin, Lloyd Langille, who also shared his passion for horses.  A heartfelt thank you is extended to Elmon's friends, Carson and the late Cassie, Leroy, Eddie and Gwen, Mike and Barb and the horse community, and in particular, Jackie, Archie and Lorraine and Bud.  With love and support of his children he was able to remain living in his home where he wanted to stay until his last day.  The family extends a special thank you to the VON; Martha Ferguson; Dr. Anna Roebuck; and Dr. Lisa MacKinnon. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29 in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
