Harvey, Elizabeth Eileen "Betty" – 82, Tatamagouche, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors for their kindness and compassion. Born in Fox Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Martha (Ruggles) Purdy. Betty had worked at various jobs throughout her career before retiring in 1999. She loved her family immensely and especially enjoyed the holidays when all could be together. Betty was musically talented and enjoyed playing at local events with her family and friends. She enjoyed bluegrass and country music, playing cards, bingo, board games, Atlantic Lotto and Keno and had a love for all animals. She is survived by her children, Amanda Harvey, Toronto, Linda Harvey, Dartmouth, Tracey Harvey-Wolfe (Lonnie), Grand Desert, Patricia Harvey, St. Croix, Alex Harvey, Lethbridge, AB; grandchildren, Kendyl, Toni Lynn, Kayla, Lacey, Jack; brothers, Jimmy (Ellen), Roy; sisters Annie (Frederick), Hilda (Langille), Donna (King); sisters in law, Debbie Harvey, Ursula (Cote), Peggy (Fitzgerald) and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Aldon "Al" Harvey; brothers, Ernest (Marge), Mel (Nancy), Donald "Babe", Jim, Wallace "Clair", Charlie (Dorothy); sisters, Joanne (Alex Jamieson), Georgina, Helen (Albert Roode), Isabel (George Kittilsen); brother in law Edward King; sister in law Debbie (Reeves). Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Coulters Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. A celebration of life and committal service will be held at a later date.
