Chatfield, Edward John – 82, Pugwash, passed away December 14, 2024, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Alfred "Sam" and Celestia (Pollard) Chatfield. Ed served with the Royal Canadian Army from 1957 – 1967, and later worked as a truck driver for the rest of his career. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Branch 60, Pugwash. Ed is survived by his children, Stacey Chatfield (Laurie), Salford, Ont., Steven Chatfield (Liz), Woodstock, Ont., Angela (Angelo) Fonseca, London, Ont.; grandchildren, CeeJay Chatfield, Tommy Chatfield, Owen Chatfield, Eli Chatfield, Cora Chatfield, Daymin Chatfield, Nola Chatfield, Darris Chatfield, Emilio Fonseca, Celestia Fonseca; companion, Mae Bowser, Pugwash; siblings, Arthur (Joanne) Chatfield, Sandra (Walt) Langille, all of Woodstock, Shelley Thompson, Delhi, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Fraser "John" Pollard. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
