Duane Leon Langille
Truro, Nova Scotia
1960 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Duane Leon Langille, age 64, of Truro, who passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
Duane was the son of Faith MacKay and the late Ernie Langille. Known for his quiet strength and generous heart, Duane spent much of his life working in a variety of labour positions, including at Oxford Frozen Foods, Wallace Fisheries, Yard's Plus Landscaping, Truro Superstore, and McDonald's. Though a disability eventually led him to retire, Duane remained committed to serving his community in any way he could.
He volunteered faithfully with the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Drive and was an active member of Colchester Legion Branch #26. A man of deep compassion and strong faith, Duane always put the needs of others before his own. Over the years, he found community in both Baptist and later Presbyterian congregations.
Duane is survived by his significant other, Beverley Snooks; his sister, Donna (Arthur) Bezanson; nephews Scott, Kenny (Courtney), and Jeremy; and great-niece and nephew, Madison and Sampson. He was predeceased by his father, Ernie Langille, and sister, Vicki Langille.
A Graveside Service, with prayers led by Cory Lunn, will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 2:00 pm, in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche. Duane is resting in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
In memory of Duane, donations may be made to Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Box 55, Tatamagouche, NS, B0K 1V0.
