Debbie Allen -70, passed away peacefully March 25 with loved ones by her side. Debbie will always be remembered as a kind, beautiful soul who always had the heart to help others. She always had the time to stop and chat with people and check in with everyone's lives to see how they were doing. She spent 20+ years working as a senior counselor with Cumberland Community Homes in Oxford. Debbie treated the staff and the clients as family and was very compassionate about her role as a caregiver. You could always find her out in her garden enjoying nature and spending time with family and friends. She loved helping people and enjoyed seeing a smile on their face. She will be greatly missed by her children, Sherry and Jason; grandchildren, Jayce, Rylie, Reece (Paige) and Mason; sister, Linda McCabe; brothers, Junior and Willie; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. Predeceased by parents, Gardiner and Alma (Dobson) Allen; brother, Tony; sister, Sheila Purdy; niece, Angela Ingraham; brother in law, Roger McCabe; partner, Dan Speers. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-6 pm on Sunday, March 30 in MacDiarmid's Funeral Homes & Crematorium. Burial will be held at a later date for family .
