It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the Craib family announces the passing of David Craib. David, age 66, passed away on February 16, 2023. He was the loving husband of Norma for 31 years and together they raised their two children, Brandon and Brianna. Born in Cornwall, ON on July 15,1956, David was the son of Florence and John Craib. He grew up in River John, attended West Pictou District High School, and graduated from Pictou Regional Vocational School in 1976.

David worked as an industrial electrician and was proud of the contributions he made in a variety of work environments, most notably projects in the gas and oil industry including installations of the first self-serve gas stations in Nova Scotia, to industrial settings with Michelin Tire and Jazz Aviation, to Nova Scotia's efforts to harness the power of the Bay of Fundys' strongest tides in the world. While he could master most anything he put his mind to, there is no doubt his proudest accomplishments involved Brandon and Brianna, imparting his wisdom and offering advice until the very end.

David is survived by his wife Norma; his son, Brandon; his daughter, Brianna; his parents, Florence and John; his brother, Steven of River John; his sister, Cheryl (Sandy Ross), of Fort St. John, BC; his mother in-law Grace Tuttle; in laws Geneva Tuttle & Francis Gallant, Allan & Marlene Tuttle, Byron & Janet Tuttle, and Arthur Briggs; nieces and nephews, Catherin, Duncan, Laura, Lindsey, Ryan, Christopher, Tamara, Shelby, Alex, Kayla, and Brooke-Lynne, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. His cousins in Saskatchewan held a very special space in his heart. David was predeceased by his father-in law, Byron Tuttle and sister-in-law, Patricia Tuttle-Briggs.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, at 2 pm from St. John's United Church, Fall River. David would be honoured if each of us took a few minutes to call or visit a friend, he knew only too well the difference it made in his days. If you wish, donations in memory of David may be made to Scleroderma Atlantic, https://www.sclerodermaatlantic.ca or a charity of choice.

A private family interment will take place at a later date.
