Oxford
Delaney, Curtis Freeman – 86, Oxford, passed away peacefully April 8, 2026 at the North Cumberland Community Health Care Centre, Pugwash, with his family by his side. Born in Truro he was a son of the late Freeman and Florence (Crowe) Delaney. Curtis had spent his younger years working as an auto mechanic until a back injury forced a career change, becoming an accountant and working in that capacity until he retired. Curtis and his wife June had enjoyed curling and playing darts; he loved working on puzzles, tinkering on any thing mechanical and was a huge supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays. He is survived by his son, Wallace Corbett, Ontario; step children, Cathey Darragh, Malagash, Jacqueline Casey-Schaefer, Amherst, Joy Crawford, Oxford; Michael Casey, Mansfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, June (Weatherbee) Casey-Delaney: siblings, Maryann Wilson, Lila Mae Lynk, Dexter, Robert, and Thomas Delaney, Elizabeth in infancy; step children, Brian Casey and Gale Watson; step great-granddaughter, Elody Baker. In keeping with Curtis' wishes the will be no public services. We the family would like to thank the staff of the North Cumberland Community Health Care Centre for the loving care and support provided to Curtis and the family during his stay.
