Clarence George Kennedy, 68, Wallace - passed away peacefully at North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash with his family present. Clarence grew up in Wallace, and attended Kings College graduating with a BSc in Geology. After graduation he headed west working in 'the patch' as a well site geologist based out of Calgary for 39 years. Upon retirement he retraced his drive across Canada returning to his roots in Wallace. He loved retirement becoming involved in community activities. One of his biggest pleasures was the outdoors and hiking with the Cumberland Trails hiking group. He learned pickleball, playing regularly in Wentworth. He enjoyed his 'side by side', boats & kayak. He travelled extensively to destinations far & near. One his favourite locations was the far islands in the Pacific. Clarence had a great sense of humour loving to tease his three nephews when they were young and took great interest in his three great nieces and one great nephew (who just arrived last month). Clarence was predeceased by his parents Amy Mae (Weatherbie) and Kenneth Kennedy. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Jean (Peter Roy), Red Deer, Alberta, Charles (Annick), Wallace and Colin (Elaine), Truro, his nephews Michael Roy (Serena), Monaco, Jonathan Kennedy (Mia), Wentworth, Joshua Kennedy, Wallace. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Blakie, Palliative Care Nurse Martha Ferguson and the nurses and staff at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Their support and care for Clarence and his family were exemplary. A celebration of life will be held next summer.
