Rasmussen, Carolyn Eileen – 68, North Shore, passed away December 26, 2022, at home with her family by her side. Born in Pugwash, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Eileen (MacLeod) Jamieson. While Carolyn and her husband Marius lived in North River she worked as a cook at the skillet restaurant at Zellers and enjoyed going on camping and trucking trips with Marius whenever she could.  In 1990 they moved to the North Shore and Carolyn went to work at the East Cumberland Lodge, in Pugwash until 2019, returning in 2020 to do covid screening. She dearly loved her work family and enjoyed her time at ECL. The most important people in her life were her family, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed camping and boating trips with friends. She loved spending time working around her yard and immaculate flower gardens. She was devoted to her family and cherished her time with family. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Marius Rasmussen; children, Christopher Rasmussen, Wallace; Karla (Evan) Brown, Grande Prairie AB; grandchildren, Emma, Josie, Finn, Nora and Olivia; sisters, Dianne (Gary) McGillivary, Atlanta Ga., Judy (Kevin) Polley, Pugwash; brother, Vaughn (Sylvia) Jamieson, Gulf Shore; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Erik Haskett. Donations in memory may be made to the Waugh Cemetery, Gulf Shore.
