Brine-Sampson
Jun 19, 1961 — Dec 14, 2025
Oxford
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Mae Brine-Sampson on December 14th, 2025 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst, with her loving husband by her side, and her two princess Barbies. Bev spent her life living it to the fullest, from out fishing Billy to gardening, exploring the trails and the odd time loving the bugs. Bev had a lengthy career, from being an MLA in NB to retiring from Nova Scotia Pension Agency. Bev retired in 2019 and she and Bill made the move to Oxford to their forever home shortly after adding George to the family. Bev was a loving, caring, giving person and anyone that had the privilege to meet her, even if only for a short time, knows the positive impact she had on their life. Bev is survived by the love of her life, Bill Sampson, two wonderful children, her son, Allen Brine, Halifax; and stepdaughter, Melissa Sampson (Quinton), Halifax; sister, Nonny, NL; brother, Greg, NB; many nieces; her three honourary grandchildren, Mercedes, Hazel and Oakley. Bev was predeceased by her father, Reginald Peach; mother, Barbara Peach; her daughter, Candice; brother, Garnet; sister, Jocelyn. Bev's greatest accomplishment in life was her son Allen, who she was so proud of, and daughter Melissa, who made her life better. Bev had two special lifelong friends, who could tell a million stories of all the fun they had and will be missed deeply by Cathy and Valerie. Later in life finding her Barbies, Buffy and Paula, who she put great effort into teaching how to paddle a tube. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home and Crematorium. At Bev's request there will be no service. Anyone who wishes to make a donation please do so to Lung Association of NS or Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Bev.
