Barbara Ann Delicato – 74, Wallace Bridge, passed away peacefully under the hospice care of the North Cumberland Health Care Centre in Pugwash, on August 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

She is survived by her son, Tim, three grandchildren, two sisters and predeceased by her partner, Jim Faulise.

In 2004, Barbara moved from Mystic, Connecticut, joining Jim at his home in Wallace Bridge, NS on the Whiffle Tree Farm. For years together they worked the farm with an abundant vegetable garden, raspberries, grapes, and extensive apple, peach, pear and walnut tree orchard. They also raised laying hens, meat chickens and occasionally pigs. They generously donated their surplus produce to the food bank in Pugwash. Barbara joined Jim’s enthusiasm for striped bass and mackerel fishing, plus kayaking the Wallace River and Bay in his hand-crafted cedar strip boats. Barbara also worked as an accounting book keeper at Basic Spirit and Mystic Coast Realty.

She will be missed by family and friends throughout the community.

Adhering to her wishes there will be no services held locally.
