Mom's life journey was not to be an easy one. She over came a lot. She battled many health issues over the years and came out the winner each time. A small but mighty woman she was a true warrior and a force to be reckoned with. Mom loved the Toronto Blue Jays, watching the games was a highlight for her. It was a blessing to have our Mother/Grandmother share our lives for many years. She may be gone but she will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place in the care of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Donations in Avis' memory can be made to Soul's Harbour or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Cumberland VON, the nurses and care team at North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash for the wonderful care given to Avis.
