Scott, Arthur Clarence – 93, Wallace Bridge, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024 at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Wallace Bridge on July 6, 1930, he was a son of Cecil and Jane (Dotten) Scott. He will be sadly missed by his sister Catherine Moore, St. Stephen NB; his niece, Carolyn (Gary) MacDougall; nephews, Brian Moore (Bev Noddin) and David (Carole) Moore. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Donald Moore. Arthur owned and operated his own beef farm at Wallace Bridge and was a superb gardener growing both vegetables and flowers. He was an active member of the Wallace River Baptist Church, a 60 year member, past master and longtime secretary and treasurer of the Wallace Masonic Lodge No. 76, AF&AM; a member of the Wallace and Area Development Association (WADA); an active member of the Wallace Men's Club and for many years served as a member of the board at East Cumberland Lodge. Arthur's gentle manner and caring personality positively influenced many-many people over the years. His love of gospel and country music was enjoyed by many at the lodge as his music loudly flowed into the hallways from his many CD's. A special "thankyou" goes to the wonderful staff at ECL who kindly went "many extra miles" to keep their "King Arthur", as he was affectionally called, happy and healthy in his home away from home for the past two plus years. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the East Cumberland Lodge, the Riverside Cemetery or the charity of one's choice.
