Anna Langill - 75 of Bible Hill passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025 at Willow Lodge in Tatamagouche. Born on September 19, 1950, in Amherst, Anna was a daughter of the late George Mitchell and Blanche (Gilroy).

Anna grew up in Port Howe and often told stories of growing up with her family in rural Nova Scotia. She always did well throughout school and found a great sense-of-self when she graduated from Springhill Vocational and was able to contribute by being a woman working outside of the home.  It was during her post-secondary studies that she met Ross, her loving husband, and best friend for the next 56 years.  They lived in Amherst as a young couple but moved to the Truro area for work and a chance at a better future.  Staying for a short time in Onslow before putting down roots in Kemptown and later Bible Hill - all while raising their family.  As much as she enjoyed being in the workforce, she loved putting care and energy into her home, cottage and gardens.  Anna's greatest hobbies were making delicious jams and pickles, building beautiful hand-made quilts and doing DIY and restoration projects with Ross.  She had an excellent sense of design which showed in her living spaces but also in her personal fashion. Her daughters always knew that when she was heading out into the world she would always look polished and put her best foot forward.

She will be missed by those she left behind. Anna is survived by her daughters Darria Langill (Gerry), Bible Hill; Stephanie Langill, Bible Hill; grandson Jay Langill, Ottawa; sister Donna Atkinson, Barry; brother Stevely (Bonnie) Mitchell, Oxford; sister-in-law, Katherine (Chester) McPherson, Bible Hill; and so many nieces/nephews and great-nieces/nephews. Besides her parents, Anna was pre-deceased by her husband Ross Langill, brothers Earle and William "Bill" Brown, sister-in-law Beverley Brown, brother-in-law Darrel Atkinson and nephews Kenneth and Michael Brown.

Cremation has taken place. Anna's family and friends will gather for a time of visitation in Coulter's Funeral Home, 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025. Her Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, at St John's United Church, 13968 Hwy. 6, Wallace (Access to church and parking via Church Street.), Reverend Connie McNamara officiating. Reception will follow in the church basement. Interment at a future date.
